My GLP-1 journey essentials

By Mandy · Updated August 2026 · Personal favorites, not medical advice

These are the things I actually keep in my kitchen and my bathroom cabinet. Nothing here is required, nothing here is magic, and none of it replaces what your provider tells you. It’s just what has made this journey easier for me — and the questions I get asked most often.

A quick note: some of the links below are affiliate or referral links, which means I may earn a small commission if you buy through them. It never costs you anything extra, and I only share things I use and genuinely like.

Hydration & electrolytes

Staying hydrated became a much bigger deal for me on a GLP-1. When I’m eating less, I’m also getting less from food, so I lean on electrolytes to help me actually want to drink water.

Protein I actually reach for

Protein is the thing I hear my provider and the Emerge community talk about most, and it’s the habit that took me the longest to build. Smaller appetite means what I do eat has to count. These are the grab-and-go options that live in my pantry.

For the days my stomach is not my friend

Everyone’s experience is different, and mine has had its rough days. These are the things I keep on hand — but please talk to your provider about anything you’re dealing with rather than trying to solve it from a shopping list.

Vitamins & the little extras

When you’re eating less, the basics matter more. I talked to my provider about what made sense for me, and these are what I landed on.

Tracking without obsessing

I had to find a version of tracking that helped me instead of making me crazy. For me that meant weighing in on my own terms and getting a realistic sense of portions early on.

“I won’t pretend any of this is magic — but a lot of it genuinely helped me. These are the things that made the hard parts easier and kept me going on the days I might not have.”

Everything else I love

This page is only the journey-related things. My full list — including my Scentsy shop, perfumes, and the rest of my favorites — lives on my Linktree, and it’s where I keep everything up to date.

Starting your own journey?

The products are the easy part. If you’re thinking about the actual program, here’s where I’d start — and my code takes $25 off your first month and $25 off your second.

I share my MANDA50 code and referral and may earn a small benefit when they’re used; it never changes your price.
